Cornice

(1) In classical architecture, a horizontal, usually moulded projection crowning the outside of a building or structure, especially the uppermost part of an entablature, extending above the frieze.

(2) The top course of a wall or architectural member (such as a doorcase) which is sometimes moulded and/or projects from the wall.
