Adobe

Sun-dried brick mainly of clay reinforced with straw and used particularly warm, dry climates, such as Egypt, southwestern USA and Latin America. Adobe produces a distinctive architectural style based on a smooth finish, organic forms, and a minimum of window openings.

The term is also used to describe the buildings constructed of such bricks.
